So Much Work, Dungeon Mastering!

The greatness and power! But also ... the preparing, and the note-taking. And the typing out after ...

I know when girlfriend Claire is game-mastering, our boyfriend takes notes and writes everything out for blog posting later.

Should I change to this arrangement?

Claire's rpg-ing posts -- always, they have authenticity in sounding like our yamily playing the game. It's fun to write my posts, but they end up so Akane-sounding.

I desire opinions!

Continue this way, or impose on a boyfriend to do some work for the blogging?

Please describe your thinking about it!

  1. Oh gosh! I sure love the way you talk and it's super fun hearing my character talk the way you talk and everybody else's character too ... but I also don't want to make you do a bunch of hard work, that would be awful of me.

Maybe ... what if you tried it with our boyfriend taking the notes and writing it out, and then after you post it that way, if it's not as fun you could go back in and rewrite it your way?

That's twice as much work, yikes ... but half of the twice as much work would be MSG anyhow, so that ends up only being the same amount of work for you, except you wouldn't have to take your own notes while we're playing and you could just Dungeon-Master your heart out, right?

    Okay, I'm voting for that!

  2. I am beset by a quandary not dissimilar to Ariel's, but augmented in that not only would it be asking more work of you to continue as you've been doing, Akane, but there might also, in such a request, be an implication that our beautiful blond girlfriend's suggestion was ill-considered.

    And yet ...

In my selfish heart, I am so endlessly charmed by your voice in these posts that I find myself unable to bear any suggestion but that you continue. Please forgive the callous egocentricism of this opinion, and feel no compulsion to give it more weight than or even equal weight to dear Ariel's.

The decision, ultimately, should be the one that suits you best; we'll all enjoy the sessions to their greatest potential if you're at ease and pleased with the logistics of transposing the game into blog form.

  3. Two girlfriends announce their enjoyment of it, so how could I change my style of current Dungeon Mastery posting?

My heart finds such singing and inspiration in these words of complimentary! Now, even though it is tiring to take so many notes and to type them out later, I have energy to persist!

Thank you, girlfriends of wondrous praising!

Always yours is the love of Akane.
